This week Photobucket suddenly decided that they will not allow free users to be able to hotlink their images to their websites anymore. This came as a surprise to all the users because many of them use the site free to host images for their websites and other things, like shopping or auction sites.

Photobucket mainly earns income via the ads users can see on their website. So suddenly all free users are unable to make use of the images they saved in Photobucket. Websites like Amazon and Ebay were hit the most since a lot of the merchants in those sites were using Photobucket to host their images.

Those images suddenly disappeared and were replaced by pictures saying their Photobucket accounts needed to be updated. Users claimed that there was no notice from Photobucket and some even started accusing them of holding their images for ransom.

I have had to disable the extension. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension but still not working. Latest support posts suggest a bug in the extension has been fixed but this does not seem to be the case. Please fix the Fix.
