Who is in the band flipsyde

Unfortunately, on September 5, , after months and months of push-backs, Flipsyde was notified that Interscope Records was considering dropping them from the label rather than releasing "State of Survival" in the United States.

Touring plans beyond the month of September were abandoned, and at this time the future of Flipsyde has come into question. Piper presumably returned to his screenwriting endeavors and Lopez went on to become part of the experimental Latin band Bang Data, while Paige resumed her solo career. Dave is from Chile, he plays Latin and rock guitar. I'm a rapper, Steve is from Alabama. That's what we bring and what we are. Has Flipsyde toured before or is it the first big tour with a group like the Black Eyed Peas?

Our first tour was a year ago through the United Kingdom with Snoop Dogg. After we toured with Snoop we toured in Spain and Japan doing promo work.

Really all kinds of people. People just come to see us - Latinos, whites, black people, teenagers and people in their 20s. The way we deliver we reach a younger crowd, but the lyrics reach everybody. It was a huge honor - historical; and we didn't understand how it was picked.

All rights reserved. With cultures, beliefs and musical styles constantly colliding, Flipsyde is a natural reflection of the world we live in. The band, which hails from California's Bay Area, uses a unique mix of hip-hop, rock and Latin rhythms to create a sound that crosses all sorts of musical boundaries. Originally released last summer, the album was relaunched in December to coincide with the single "Someday" being chosen by NBC as a theme song for its Winter Olympics coverage.

For the past few weeks the song -- and the band -- has been prominently featured in the network's ad campaign for the upcoming games. Flipsyde vocalist Piper sees the pairing as a perfect fit. We have a certain element of rock in our music. There's an even bigger element of Latin. There's rapping on every song. I don't know what we're doing. That's why we call it slash music. You got some rockers. A whole lot of Latinos.
